The Cliche Book Tag

I found this Tag over on Step into a Book World Blog so definitely check out her blog.

This tag looks super fun so let’s get started:

Actions Speak Louder Than WordsA Book That Wasn’t Or Couldn’t Be Better Than The Movie.

There’s not very many books this applies to, usually the book is better than the film but I have to say I much pefered the Movie version of P.S I Love You. I’ve tried and failed to read the book more than once, mainly becuase I found it to be very depressing but the film is very watchable.

The Grass Is Always Greener On The Other Side: A Rags To Riches Or Riches To Rags Story.

Paper Princess for sure, Ella starts out the book stripping for money and ends up being saved by her super rich guardian, and in then inherits a ton of money from her rich dead dad. So yeah.

The Apple Does Not Fall Far From The Tree: A Parent Child Relationship That You Love

Mia and her Mom I think her name is Helen if I remeber corrently, have such a great relationship. They don’t always get along but She is always there for Mia.

You Can’t Judge A Book By It’s Cover: A Great Book That Needs A Better Cover.

I love this book, I read it earlier in the year and its so good but I have always thought the cover was a just a little bland and dull.

You Can’t Please Everyone: A Book You Hate That Everyone Loves.

I read this book becasue of how much hype it was getting about how good it is, but I just don’t see it at all. In fact this book made me angry for a varity of reasons and if you want to read more on my thoughts then here is the link for my review.

What Doesn’t Kill You Makes You Stronger: What’s A Book That Made You A Better Person For Having Read It.

So this book didn’t really make me a better person but it did open my eyes to a condition that I didn’t have any clue existed. One of the main characters suffers from Prosopagnosia which is also called face blindness. This means he is unable to recognize people’s faces. So it really made me aware of this.

Love Is Blind: A Book With A Disabled Character Or Actual Blind Love.

This is a re-telling of Cinderella and the Cinderella of the story was injured in an accident and uses a cane to get around. It was one of my favourte reads of last year.

Ignorance Is Bliss: A Book That Is Bad But You Just Don’t Want To Admit It.

I don’t really have one…. usually if a book is bed I’m very vocal about it lol

There Is No Time Like The Present: What Is Your Favourite Contemporary Book?

At the moment it’s Arrogant Devil, tbh anything by R.S. Grey is pretty bloody amazing but she really out did herself with this book.

Better Safe Than Sorry: A Book You Don’t Want To Read In Case It’s Bad

I really really want to  read this book, I’ve heard so many good things but I have jumped onto the hype train before and been really disappointed so I’m a bit nervous about givn this one ago!

Thats it! I’m not tagging anyone today but do feel free to have a go if the mood takes you!!

The 20 Questions Book Tag

I wasn’t tagged to do this one but I found it over on Another Book in the Wall and thought it looked really fun to do.

1. How many books is too many books in a series?

That’s kinda tough personally anything above 8 maybe? It really depends on how the story is going.

2. How do you feel about cliffhangers?

I love them when they are done right.

3. Hardback or paperback?

Paperback for sure. They are just easier to read IMO.

4. Favorite book?

I hate being asked this, how am I suppose to choose from all the goodness…. for now, I’m going to go with Rhapsodic by Laura Thalassa

5. Least favorite book?

It Ends with Us by Colleen Hoover – I just expected more.

6. Love triangles, yes or no?

I don’t really like them unless they are done really well and it’s not often that they are so no no no love triangles.

7. The most recent book you just couldn’t finish?

Clean by Juno Dawson but I am going to give it another go because I really want to finish it, I just wasn’t in the mood when I first started reading it.

8. A book you’re currently reading?

I’m currently re-reading The Allure of Julian Lefray by R.S Grey

9. Last book you recommended to someone?

ummm this was again Rhapsodic because I can’t stop recommending it to people – I think I might be slightly obsessed at this point.

10. Oldest book you’ve read? (Publication date)

Probably Romeo and Juliet

11. Newest book you’ve read? (Publication date)

Brave Enough by Kati Gardner – I received an ARC I don’t think it’s out until sometime in August.

12. Favorite author?

I really can’t pick just one so here are my top 4:

  1. Sarah J. Maas
  2. R.S. Grey
  3. Jennifer L. Armentrout
  4. Laura Thalassa

13. Buying books or borrowing books?

Buying, I just like to be able to keep the books I read.

14. A book you dislike that everyone else seems to love?

This has to be THUG: The Hate You Give.

15. Bookmarks or dog-ears?

Bookmarks! Dog ears are sacrilegious! – no offense lol

16. A book you can always reread?

A Court of Mist and Fury

17. Can you read while hearing music?

Yeah but I kinda block out noise when I read so I don’t really hear it after awhile.

18. One POV or multiple POV’s?

I enjoy both and preferably in the first person.

19. Do you read a book in one sitting or over multiple days?

Depends on how much the book has gripped me, but usually over a couple of days.

20. A book you’ve read because of the cover?

Lullaby – Loved the Cover, didn’t like the story so much though!

The E-Reader Book Tag

It’s Sunday so obviously its time for a Tag! I found this over on MistyBookspace and since I read a lot on my iPad I thought it would be the perfect tag for me to do.

Let’s do this:

What support do you use to read your e-books? An e-reader, a tablet, or the PC?

I used the Kindle App on my iPad and I also use iBooks app on occasion.

How many e-books have you read since you started the new “digital fashion”?

A lot! I don’t really keep track but its got to be around the 300 mark if not more.

What is the language of your ebooks?

Buy them or take advantage of free promotions and books?

A bit of both really. I don’t like to spend loads on ebooks and I do love a bargain. I also use BookBub and they send me offers on book genres  I like to read which is really handy.

Do you enjoy reading classics or new authors?

If classic means classic like Jane Austin then no I mainly read new authors.

How many e-books do you have?

Soooo many! probably about 500.

What is your biggest supplier of ebooks?

Amazon without a doubt.

Did you completely adhere to the Digital Reading or do you still live in the Age of the Physical Book?

No, I don’t if a physical book is cheaper than an ebook I’ll buy the physical book. Also, I like to buy special editions.

That’s it! I’m not tagging anyone today but feel free to have a go if you like!

Until Next Time!

The Unpopular Opinions Book Tag

I haven’t done a tag for ages! I found this tag over on Darque the Dreamer Reads Blog and thought looked super fun I have a lot of opinions so this tag really appealed to me.

Lets get started:

THUG: The Hate You Give – I really thought this book was overrated, it was getting a lot of hype last year which is the main reason why I read it. I wrote a review of my thoughts so have a look at that here.

hmm I don’t think I have one… I tend to hate books that other people love!

Credit: thesilvereye

Celaena and Choal from Throne of Glass – I hated them together throughout my entire read of Crown at Midnight. There are some people in the fandom that ship them so hard – I just don’t get it, they are so not right for one another.

Probably Mystery – I just have no interest.

Credit to TealDeal

I don’t know if you can class him as beloved, but Tamlin for ACOTAR – I freaking hate this guy – but I see people all the time who love him on social media 🤮

BB. Hammel – I’ve tried a couple of her books and they are just not for me.

Overly possessive male characters who treat the female protagonist like crap.

The Infernal Devices by Cassandra Clare. Gods… The Mortal Instruments was bad enough so yeah, no thanks.

Definitely The Vampire Diaries – I could not get into the books at all the but TV Show was great.

That’s it. I’m not tagging anyone but feel free to have a go yourselves.

Until Next Time 🤓

🌌 Intergalactic Book Tag 🌌

Welcome to the Intergalactic Book Tag! I found this on over on Berries and Books Blog so check out her answers when you’re done here.

Let’s get started:

A Court of Thorns and Roses – Sarah J. Maas

Rhapsodic by Laura Thalassa – I adore this book!

The 6th Throne of Glass book – it’s not out until next September! It feels like ages.

Starswept by Mary Fan – see for yourself I think its gorgeous!

The Titan series by Jennifer L. Armentrout which is the Covenant spin-off series and it’s all about Seth!

Rhysand and Feyre…. so much love for those two!

The Princess Diaries by Meg Cabot was the book that catapulted my reading onto another level.

So easy, that has to be The Emperor of Evening Stars by Laura Thalassa

Throne of Glass (Sarah J. Maas), so many characters POV’s in this one.

Earth Star (Janet Edwards)

That’s it! I’m not tagging anyone specifically but do feel free to have ago and tag me back I’d love to read your answers!

Until Next Time! 🤓

Spooky Scary Book Tag

I came across this Tag on the Awkward Book Bloggers Blog and I knew it would be perfect to do for Halloween!

Let’s get started:

1. What goes bump into the night? Name a book that has legitimately scared you while reading it.

The Forest of Hands and Teeth! My sister recommended this series to me but I didn’t realize just how creepy it was going to be!

2. Jack O’ Lanterns and Classic Costumes – A book you always reach for during Halloween time.

Hmm, I don’t really have one, to be honest, I just pick whatever strikes my mood at the time.

3. Black Cats and Magic Mirrors – A book you love that is laced with superstition and/or magic

A Court of Mist and Fury!! There is much magic in this book! I absolutely love it!

Credit to Charlie Bowater

4. Witch’s Brew – Favorite witch character in any book/series.

This heard I don’t read that many books with Witches in them. I’d probably have to go with Manon Blackbeak from Throne of Glass because she is such a badass!

5. Ghouls and Ghosts – A book that still haunts you to this day (good or bad)

Nocte mainly because it was just soooo weird and I still don’t know what I believe about the ending. If you’ve read it I’m sure you’ll know what I mean.

6. Haunted Graveyard – You’re all alone in a haunted graveyard and you get ONE book to give you comfort. Which is it?

Shacking Up by Helena Hunting, because its light and funny and would distract me from being scared.

7. The Undead – Favorite supernatural creature to read about (ex. vampires, zombies, werewolves, etc.)

Do Fae count?? I’m making them count because I’m not overly fussed on the others and there is just something so magical about fae I could read books about them all day every day.

8. In the dead of night – Pick a book with a black cover

Rhapsodic, not only the cover black the book is amazing!

That’s it! I’m not tagging anyone specific but do feel free to have a go yourselves!

Happy Halloween! 👻

The Mr.Men & Little Miss Character Tag

This tag was created by Charlotte @ Wonderfully Bookish and is based on the Mr. Men and Little Miss series created by Roger Hargreaves.

Lauren over at The Bookish Fairy tagged me in this about a month ago, so apologies for only just getting to it and thanks for the Tag!

Des from Rhapsodic – I love his character he is so beautifully complex, he’s not a particularly happy character but reading about him makes me happy!

Rhysand from A Court of Thorns and Roses, all the characters in this series are magical but Rhys damn he is the most magical of them all. His power is so bad ass!

Luc from The Lux series, he is very much a background character who is pulling all the strings, but every little scene he is in he is awesome – I can’t wait to read his book!

5Tamlin from A Court of Thorns and Roses, throughout the series he does so many bad things you start to lose count!

Tink from the Wicked Trilogy, I just love him everything he does and says is so funny!

I’m going to go with Mustang from Red Rising, she has a very quiet intelligence and it wasn’t until I finished the entire series that I realised just how clever she is.

I’m going to Tag a few people but if you don’t want to do it then that is fine 🙂

Disney Princess Sidekicks Book Tag

I was tagged by Shoshi over at Shoshi Reads to do the Disney Princess Sidekicks Book Tag. This tag looks like a lot of fun so let’s get started:

1. Mushu from Mulan/Olaf and Sven from Frozen: Name your favorite hilarious character or your favorite comedy/funny book

This definitely has to be Tink from the Wicked Saga. He is probably the most hilarious sidekick character I’ve read so far.

2. The Seven Dwarfs from Snow White: Favorite group/ensemble

It has to be the inner circle in A Court of Mist and Fury. Each of them are so diverse and tortured in their own personal ways.

3. Pascal from Tangled: A book that started out one way but changed for you

Red Queen – I really liked the beginning but by the end, I wanted to hit my head against the wall

5. Meeko from Pocahontas: Name a plot twist that you did not see coming

Golden Son – the ending! Holy f#@king sh#t!!

6. Rajah from Aladdin/Flounder from The Little Mermaid: Name your favorite best friend in a novel.

I really liked Zuzana from Daughter of Smoke and Bone, she really does have Karou’s best interests at heart.

7. Louis from The Princess and the Frog/Sebastian from The Little Mermaid/Cogsworth, Lumiere, Mrs. Potts, and Chip from Beauty and the Beast: Name a novel where music played a big part or made you want to sing its praises

Starswept – this whole book is about music and the story is beautifully written.

8. Maximus from Tangled: Name a character that faces a lot of obstacles

Aelin from the Throne of Glass series, this girl has faced so much stuff and still has so much more to get through!

9. Hamish, Hubert, and Harris from Brave: Favorite family dynamics in a novel

I think the Royals (by Erin Watt) because it’s such a complicated family dynamic, it made for some really good reading.

10. Ray from The Princess and the Frog/ 3 Fairies from Sleeping Beauty: Book that most impacted your life.

This is probably going to be the Princess Dairies and this is for two reasons, I read this and a really difficult time in my life and it helped me cope with what was going on, also it’s what inspired me to start writing, I wrote my own diaries for about 8 or 9 years after reading this series.

10. Hei Hei from Moana: Name a character that steals the show

Luc from the Lux Series – I can’t wait for his book to come out!

11. Gus and Jaq from Cinderella: Name your favorite or worst opposites attract pairing:

Vaughn and Oakley from when it’s real, they really are the total opposites of each other but they work together so well.

I Tag:

Until Next Time 🤓

You’re Not Good Enough Book Tag

It’s Sunday, which has kinda become my unofficial tag day! I was tagged in this one by Bella from Bella Blogs Because Books. This is one I’ve not come across before but it was super fun to do.

This tag works by writing down 30 character’s names on pieces of paper and putting them into a bowl and pick out two at a time at random. Then choose which character fits the question best.

You only have one more spot on your spelling bee team, who would you choose to complete your team?

Amani from Rebel of the Sands and Mustang from Red Rising Trilogy

Ah ok so from what I remember Amani is a doer and goes after what she wants but I’m struggling with what her intelligence was like? But I do know that Mustang’s education was excellent so I’m going to go with her.

Final Answer: Mustang

Both these characters want to kill you, which character would you kill first so you have a better chance of surviving?

Seth from The Return and Harry from Harry Potter

Oh, gods, I have no doubt that Seth would definitely kill me on the first try, whereas Harry is more likely to need a couple of attempts. So yeah Seth.

Final answer: Seth

You are on the bachelor or bachelorette and these are the last two people, who are you giving your final rose to?

Cassian from A Court of Thrones and Roses Series and Mia from The Princess Diaries

Seriously no contest here. I like Mia but Cass would be getting that rose!

Final answer: Cassian

You have been chosen for the hunger games, which of these characters are most likely to volunteer to take your place?

Callypso from Rhapsodic and Jin Rebel of the Sands

I would have to go with Callypso, she is very selfless where as Jin is not so much.

Final answer: Callypso

You are stranded on an island, which character would you sacrifice to cannibalism?

Josie from The Return and Karou  from Daughter of Smoke and Bone

As Karou is a pro at working with body parts, I’d have to sacrifice Josie `

Final answer: Josie

You are the next DC or Marvel superhero, which of these characters would you want as your sidekick?

Ren from Wicked and Darrow from Red Rising Trilogy

I really like Ren, but I think Darrow would be a more of a kick ass sidekick, I’m halfway through Golden Sun and there is a fight scene between him and another character and its just epic!

Final answer: Darrow

You’re a manager of an avocado admiring company, which character would you fire for lack of communication skills?

Cameron Hamilton from Wait For You and Rowan Whitethorn from  Throne of Glass Series

Hmm, Cam doesn’t really have communication issues. However, I would say that Rowan is not particularly a people person… so yeah Rowan.

Final answer: Rowan

You’ve just finished a book in which your favorite character dies, which character would most likely comfort you?

Akiva from Daughter of Smoke and Bone and Jess from When Lightning Strikes

Jess is a very ballsy character and not what I would call soft, where as Akiva has suffered a lot of loss so would be able to empathize with you.

Final answer: Akiva

It is high school, which of these characters would most likely be part of the popular clique?

Katy from the Lux Series and Aelin from Throne of Glass

Without a doubt Aelin, mainly because everyone would be terrified of her!

Final answer: Aelin

It’s your birthday, which character would have the nerve to forget?

Azriel from A Court of Thrones and Roses Series and Desmond Flynn from Rhapsodic

Azriel wouldn’t do this, he doesn’t strike me as someone who would forget anything. Where as Des probably would and then make a huge gesture to make up for it.

Final answer: Desmond Flynn

You’ve just found an upcoming booktube star, which character would it most likely be?

Cole from Alice in Zombieland and Feyre from A Court of Thrones and Roses Series

Hmm, this is a difficult one. I think Cole? I can’t see Feyre A) wanting to be on Camera and B) having the time. Where as Cole is a little arrogant and would relish being filmed.

Final answer: Cole

Sleepover time! unfortunately, you can only invite one person, who would it be?

Layla from Dark Elements Series and Rhysand from A Court of Thrones and Roses Series

Seriously! I love Katy, but who would say no to a sleepover with Rhysand? Not this girl that’s for sure!

Final answer: Rhys

Bam! you’re pregnant, who is the father (or mother…)?

Suze from The Mediator Series and Roth the Dark Elements Series

Again no contest here, Roth! I have a long standing thing for this guy so 😍

Final answer: Roth

You’ve just written a super important text, who would read it and not reply?

Ivy from Wicked and Tink from Wicked

Tink! He’d be too busy ordering shit from Amazon to even bother looking at his phone!

Final answer: Tink

You’ve just woken up and it’s time for breakfast, your mum has suddenly been replaced, who has she been replaced by?

Daemon the Lux Series and Mare Burrow from Red Queen

Ok, so I wouldn’t want Daemon as a parent. So I’d have to go with Mare.

Final answer: Mare Burrow
