Lucas Thatcher has always been my enemy.
It’s been a decade since I’ve seen him, but our years on opposite coasts were less of a lasting peace and more of a temporary cease-fire. Now that we’re both back in our small town, I know Lucas expects the same old war, but I’ve changed since high school—and from the looks of it, so has he.
The arrogant boy who was my teenage rival is now a chiseled doctor armed with intimidating good looks. He is Lucas Thatcher 2.0, the new and improved version I’ll be competing with in the workplace instead of the schoolyard.
I’m not worried; I’m a doctor now too, board-certified and sexy in a white coat. It almost feels like winning will be too easy—until Lucas unveils a tactic neither of us has ever used before: sexual warfare.
The day he pushes me up against the wall and presses his lips to mine, I can’t help but wonder if he’s filling me with passion or poison. Every fleeting touch is perfect torture. With every stolen kiss, my walls crumble a little more. After all this time, Lucas knows exactly how to strip me of my defenses, but I’m in no hurry to surrender.
Knowing thy enemy has never felt so good.

I so completely loved this book! I’ve read a few of R.S.Grey’s books and she always delivers!
Daisy and Lucas have competed against each other for their entire lives, right up to the end of high school where they leave to go to different med schools. Now years later they have both returned to their hometown to run the town’s medical practice.
I loved this whole storyline. I’m a huge Grey’s Anatomy fan so this really interested me, two rival doctors, who have a thing for one another. It has comedy in all the right places, I particularly liked the chapters where Daisy and Lucas had to be kept in isolation together. Thier chemistry is off the charts!
Daisy, I really liked her! mainly because she isn’t perfect! I loved her flaws almost as much as I liked her strengths! She sees everything to do with Lucas as a competition, to the point that she blind to the fact she has feelings for him. But she is also feisty and isn’t afraid to go out and get what she wants.
And Lucas! Oh, how I loved him! His character is refreshing compared to what I have been reading recently when it comes to a love interest. He’s sexy, cocky (in a good way) smart and funny. He’s emails that he has been writing to Daisy for years but has never sent to her, are so heartbreaking! I liked that he didn’t have some selfish agenda, he just wanted the women he’s in love with to love him back!
If you love romantic comedies with a touch of medicine thrown in or just like romance I highly recommend you read this book!
A job well done R.S.Grey!!
